Mountainside delight! 😀 - If you're interested in having a beautiful mountain view, tasty home cooked breakfasts, comfortable bedding, and the convenience of being close to town, this is the spot! The owners go out of their way to make sure you are completely comfortable, including making delicious banana bread and a fruit smoothie for you when you can't make it to breakfast. Very peaceful surroundings, I enjoyed ending my day on the private deck in the hammock or rocking chairs, watching the toucans in the trees right beside the deck or the monkeys swinging in the canopy below. Nature's Edge is indeed "jungle chic", a little piece of paradise! 😞 - There was nothing lacking during my stay at Nature's Edge. Do heed their advice about needing a 4WD to navigate the mountain road!

Tolle Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern 😀 - Joe & Keith sind ganz wunderbare Gastgaber. Vor allem durch die beiden wurden unser Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis. Nature’s Edge…Simply Wonderful! My husband and I visited Costa Rica for the first time in late July. We chose to spend a few days in Uvita before reuniting with family in Quepos. We stayed in Aracari at Nature’s Edge for 3 nights and wished that we’d had more time at this hidden gem. Simply put, if you plan to go to Uvita and you appreciate peace and quiet, stunning views, and amazing hospitality, you should stay at Nature’s Edge. Thank you, Keith and Joe for making our stay so wonderful. This review is long overdue, but in all honesty, not a day has gone by since our return from Costa Rica that we haven’t reminisced about what a fantastic stay we had at Nature’s Edge and in Uvita. Awesome! Great accommodation. Joe and Keith welcome you with open arms. The cottage is really top. The bed is top notch, the bathroom is top notch and especially the view is top notch. In short, if you are traveling along Uvita, you should definitely stay here for a few nights!

A slice of paradise awaits I love this little gem! My husband and I are full time residents in Costa Rica and wanted to escape the mountains of Grecia to see the whales. Keith and Joe are the most wonderful hosts. The casita was spotless which is difficult to achieve in the tropical climate. The bed was perfect. The views...outstanding. The breakfasts were individually made to order and very health conscious. Pool and beach towels as well as binoculars were readily available. The kitchen by the pool was fully stocked but we ate out for the 3 nights we stayed. There are 4 casitas but only 1 other was occupied. It was so relaxing. No noise but the jungle. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the sounds, sights and feels of nature. We would definitely return.

Total relaxation Great spot , terrific hospitality, amazing birding. Cassitas are very clean and comfortable. We are full time residents in Costa Rica and this was a very pleasant 3 day retreat. Additionly many nice restaurants close by just down the hill.

Incredible! 😀 - Everything! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s like a blend between luxury hotel, jungle camping, and a private villa. Natures Edge is more than just a hotel, it’s an experience. You fall asleep to the sound of the jungle all around you, and wake up to the most stunning sun rises, along with bird call and howler monkeys. The views over the jungle are incredible, and every morning we watched Toucans sit in a tree just metres from our balcony. At breakfast, hummingbirds hovered around the flowers beside the pool. There are only 4 bungalows, so it feels very private. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves for two days. And what can I say about Joe and Keith? The most lovely people. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and they decorated our bungalow and left Prosecco in the fridge. Just so lovely. They’ve also thought of everything here. From blue face flannels so white ones don’t get stained, to umbrellas. Those little touches have been really thought out. I honestly can’t recommend Nature’s Edge enough. It’s truly magical, and something quite unique. To be honest, you’d expect to pay twice what it costs. Amazing. 😞 - Nothing!

Pura Vida at Nature’s Edge! Wat een gewéldige afsluiter van een top vakantie! Bij Nature’s Edge word je met open armen ontvangen door de eigenaren Joe en Keith. Inslapen en ontwaken met de geluiden van de jungle, hoe bijzonder. De huisjes bieden met een prachtig uitzicht over de jungle (en deels over de oceaan). Bij het zwembad kan je van dichtbij toekans spotten. Niet te vergeten het heerlijke ontbijtje dat ter plekke wordt bereid door de hosts. Er ontbreekt niks aan dit prachtige huisje alsook in de compleet ingerichte keuken bij het zwembad, aan alle details is gedacht! Gedurende onze drie-weken rondreis in Costa Rica biedt de accommodatie van Joe en Keith BY FAR the beste value for money (even underrated)! Een hele grote aanrader dus voor iedereen die het beste uit Costa Rica willen halen! Thank you very much Joe, Keith and Louie for the heartwarming stay!

A magical and pastoral place By far the best place we've been to. We fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the jungle, surrounded by countless animals, simply paradise! The rooms are spacious, modern in design and very clean. The kitchen by the pool is fully equipped and dinners can be prepared. Keith and Joe the best hosts. From the first moment you feel welcome and at home. Taking care of recommendations for places to travel, beaches and restaurants. Joe's breakfast is homemade and very tasty. We couldn't have asked for a better place to end three weeks in Costa Rica.

Wenn es eine Steigerung von Perfekt gäbe! Es müsste eine neue Kategorie für diese sagenhafte Unterkunft geschaffen werden. Das Nature`s Edge Boutique Hotel vereint B&B und Luxus in einem. Auf dem Grundstück befinden sich vier kleine Häuser ("Casitas") sowie ein Gemeinschaftsbereich mit Pool. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und in neuem Zustand. Man kann zahlreiche Tiere sehen und hören. Joe und Keith sind wundervolle Gastgeber, die einem mit vielen tollen Ratschlägen beiseite stehen und ein perfektes Gleichgewicht zwischen Gesellschaft und Privatsphäre schaffen. Um zur Unterkunft zu gelangen wird ein 4x4 Auto benötigt. Davon sollte man sich aber nicht abschrecken lassen. Denn der Ausblick vom Berg aus ist nunmal nur möglich, wenn man vorher den Berg hochfährt.

Amazing Pension Nestled in the Jungle! Keith & Joe are attentive and warm hosts and this is felt in the discovery of their magnificent lodges! Everything was perfect: warm welcome, beautiful accommodation, Functional and clean. With delicate attention for our honeymoon. The best part: The magnificent view of the jungle from the terrace where you can observe toucans, monkeys, coatis... to recommend as soon as possible for the discovery of the South Pacific area of Costa Rica!

A unique experience. The cottage is wonderful, the views stunning. The house has everything you need, it was all very clean. The owners a charm, very attentive to everything we needed. It has a website with very useful information about the place, beaches, place of interest, restaurants.

Really enjoyed the chats over breakfast🍳 Breakfast was cooked up freshly by the pool in the outdoor kitchen and was delicious and varied each day. Fab and friendly.⛰️ Views throughout are incredible, whether from rooms or from the pool, great opportunity to see wildlife like toucans🛌 Attention to detail throughout is amazing. For instance, these have been the best quality bedsheets, pillows and mattress I’ve slept on. So good!✅ Also really appreciated things like, ceiling fans, proper hair drier(!), full length mirror, insect nets across the property, and above all the kindness from the hosts!❤️ Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Heaven on earth! If you’ve got the chance to book some nights, it’s 100% recommended. We stayed here to end our Costa Rica trip and we’re regretting not having spent more time with Joe & Keith. They’ve created a space where you feel very relaxed in the middle of the jungle. The views are incredible and being able to use the high tech kitchen is a plus (I love cooking and being able to do so with those views 😍).

Mountain View Perfection I can't say enough about my experience at Nature's Edge! First, Joe and Keith are the absolute perfect hosts. They are friendly and accomodating and make a great breakfast. They were warm and welcoming. As a solo traveller it was so nice to have them to chat with every morning over breakfast. The cabins are cute and comfortable with spectacular views across the valley. Waking up to the birds and howler monkeys every morning is a great way to start the day! The grounds are well kept with pretty gardens lining the way. I will certainly stay with Joe and Keith at Nature's Edge next time I am in Uvita! Thank you both:)

Better Than Paradise! Upon arriving at nature’s edge, I quickly realize that the pictures showed a glimmer of the beauty of this place! The rooms were perfect for rest and relaxation, the kitchen stocked with everything we needed, the grounds were impeccably manicured, yet natural looking, the breakfasts were excellent and different each day. Keith and Joe went above and beyond with making sure this hidden gem was the perfect place to vacation in the mountains. They were friendly, helpful and engaging. They were eager to help us find all sorts of activities and made wonderful recommendations for local activities and dining. They are truly wonderful hosts and I am very picky about where I stay! This place far exceeded my expectations. Not only will I recommend this place 100%, but I will definitely return and stay at this beautiful paradise. Grünes Paradies 😀 - Nature Edge war der letzte und einer der schönsten Orte, die wir in Costa Rica erleben durften. Die Gastgeber Keith & Joe haben uns herzlich aufgenommen und uns alles wichtige erklärt und gezeigt. Bereits vor und auch während des Aufenthaltes wurde man per WhatsApp oder per Nachricht gut informiert. Über die Anreise, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Essen, Parkmöglichkeiten, Aktivitäten, Ebbe & Flut Situation, einfach alles! Man bekommt das rundum sorglos Paket an einem Ort wie im Paradies. Es gibt insgesamt 4 Hütten auf der Anlage. Wir hatten eine mit Blick auf die Berge und in den Dschungel was uns richtig gut gefallen hat! Wir konnten viele verschiedene tropische Vögel beobachten. Einmal haben wir sogar Affen aus unserem Balkon beobachten können. Auch die Poolanlage ist ein Traum! Viele bequeme Sitz und Liege Möglichkeiten bei einer unfassbaren view. Die Küche am Pool ist modern, schick und sehr gut ausgestattet. Hier haben wir uns gutes Abendessen zubereiten können. Morgens bekommt man dort von den Gastgebern ein hervorragendes Frühstück serviert! Obst, ein leckeren Joghurt und immer wieder ein anderes Gericht, was frisch gekocht wird. Die Betten sind bequem und die Einrichtung auch richtig gut. Eine kleine Küchenecke im Zimmer mit Kaffeemaschine und einen kleinen Ofen und Bestecke. Diverse Handtücher für Alles! werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Dusche mit Blick in den Dschungel. Der Weg hoch zum Gelände ist gar nicht so schlimm. Wir hatten einen 4x4 Suzuki Jimny. 😞 - Alles war perfekt!!! Eine Klimaanlage hätte uns persönlich noch besser gefallen, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Auch ohne Klima war es gut auszuhalten, da es sich auf dem Berg Abends abkühlt. Die Hütte war gut belüftet und mit 3 guten Decken- Ventilatoren ausgestattet.

Giving 5 stars is inadequte to express how incredible our stay was at Natures Edge.|Everything was top notch. The rooms were immaculate, bed and pillows couldn't have been more comfortable. Keith and Joe, the host, were kind, incredibly accomodating and a lot of fun to talk with. The breakfast was great with no shortcuts taken. Even when they served pancakes for breakfast, the syrup was real maple syrup from Vermont, none of that Aunt Jemima stuff. Every detail was perfect, the view was amazing from either of the 2 units we stayed in. In virtually every place we have ever vacationed, the hotel room was a place you went at the end of the day, not at Natures Edge. Just sitting on the deck admiring the view was a soul stirring experience, and a great way to spend a couple of hours. I honestly don't think I could find a negative thing to say. Stay there and try to prove me wrong.

Accommodations are top notch in a gorgeous jungle setting with all the up to date Amenities available to you. Dies ist einer der schönsten Orte an dem wir jemals waren. Die Casitas sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es wurde wirklich an jedes kleinste Detail gedacht. Alles von der Casita bis zur Poolarea und der top ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche ist super sauber und die Handtücher duften einfach unglaublich gut. Doch das Allerbeste: Die Aussicht!! Es ist einfach atemberaubend, die Fotos werden der Realität nicht im Entferntesten gerecht! Man schaut vom Bett (und von dem davorliegenden Balkon) aus in den Dschungel, kann Tukanen, Äffchen und Quatis beim snacken von den Bäumen zusehen und schläft abends bei Regenwaldgeräuschen ein. Es ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis und lässt einen demütig vor der Schönheit der Natur zurück.||Nicht zu vergessen sind natürlich die Gastgeber Keith und Joe, die das Hotel mit Liebe und Hingabe betreiben. Schon vor Anreise bekommt man Tipps zu Aktivitäten und der Anreise über den sehr steilen Weg (nur mit 4x4 zu bewältigen). Sie sind jederzeit über whatsapp zu erreichen und die Organisation war insgesamt einfach überragend. Ebenso das Frühstück, was jeden Morgen von den Beiden frisch zubereitet wird. ||Egal ob Sie für 2 oder 14 Nächte anreisen, kommen Sie hierher!! Diesen Ort muss jeder einmal gesehen haben.

Nature's Edge Boutique Hotel is "hands down" the most relaxing beautiful place I have ever stayed in. My husband and I are avid travelers and we have stayed in many. This particular retreat is most definitely a slice of heaven. The views from the rooms are breath taking. We stayed in two different casitas on the property on different nights and both were phenomenal. |The pool: Area is immaculate (as was everywhere else) and so serene and tranquil with yet another amazing view of the mountains in Uvita. |The breakfast: Cost was included in the price of our stay per night. Breakfast was freshly made every morning which included great Costa Rican coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt with fruit and granola (my favorite) with homemade pineapple ginger jam and eggs (scrambled/poached)/quiche with chorizo, potatoes/rice & beans and a fresh vegetable ....all cooked by one of our hosts Joe! (great conversations with Keith in the mornings as well)|The hosts: Joe & Keith were unbelievably accommodating in every way. There are so many activities and things to see in and around Uvita and they both were great and so helpful at giving us information, web links, ideas of where to go, in addition to adding places to eat and views etc, based on our trip of that particular day. There was not a single incident that either of us sent an inquiry/question that we did not receive an immediate response with the information we needed from them. |The rooms: Were exquisite, decor was so aesthetically pleasing and finely thought/sought out with a nice Costa Rican flair. Fresh linens, plush comfortable pillows, shower with a view and all amenities were of high quality. I don't think the hosts forgot anything guests might need in their room. There was everything....I mean EVERYTHING one might need on vacation and not have to run to the store to buy (as we most times have had to do whilst away on vacation). There was even a portable phone charger in the event the electricity went out. |The view/sounds: Changed everyday with the cloud coverage over the mountains and the amazing sightings of the wildlife as well. Wilderness sounds echoed from within the jungle continuously which was all incredibly hypnotizing and intoxicating. A sanctuary. |By far this has been my favorite stay of all time....so much so, we have already booked our next trip in the not too far off future to stay at Nature's Edge Boutique Hotel with Joe & Keith.....incredible hosts, incredible service, incredible rooms and incredible views.

We ended our first trip to Costa Rica, in Uvita, at Nature's Edge. We travelled the Pacific Coast, but it wasn't until we got to Uvita that we experienced the true jungle. Nature's Edge is tucked away about 2 miles up a steep road (you truly do need a 4x4 to access it, but we had a little AWD Suzuki, that we put in manual mode, and that did the trick just fine). Once you turn into the property you pass the first two casita's on your left, and if you're lucky, you booked one of the lower casitas (Aracari and Heliconia), which brings you to the breathtaking views. |We stayed at Aracari (named after a small toucan - we saw the Fiery billed) and the views and sounds of the jungle were incredible. We woke each morning to a view of the mountains, sounds of Howler monkey's, Yellow Fronted toucans, and various other birds and insects; it's like, "Alexa, play sounds of the jungle" in real life. |Joe & Keith leave you wanting for nothing. The casitas are well equipped. Although there isn't a full kitchen, there is a shared kitchen by the salt water pool, and the casitas have everything you need to prepare a meal, as well as a dorm-sized fridge. Keith & Joe also offer their spices, herbs from their garden, oils, pots/pans, and cooking utensils for guests to use. This is also where you'll have a delicious, home-made by Joe, breakfast each morning. The casita's balcony serves as an outdoor living room with a hammock and two rocking chairs. We spent most of our time out here marveling at the view and listening to all nature offered us; bring your binoculars! The bed was very comfortable, pillows too, and the large shower was inviting after a day on the water. ||I have only one regret, and it's a big one. When we were leaving I mentioned to Keith & Joe that when people book for two nights there should be a warning, a disclaimer if you will. Well, here's your warning - DON'T DO IT!!! You need, at minimum, four nights to feel fulfilled. This place is so special, both Nature's Edge and Uvita, that two nights is a rip off. We sold ourselves short and WHEN we come again, we'll be spending more time exploring beautiful Uvtia, and throughly enjoying our stay. If you like to be some-what secluded, be a little bit pampered, and be blown away by all nature's glory, you don't want to pass up an opportunity to stay here.

We dropped in coincidentally toward the end of our holiday in Costa Rica and we found the place and its owners so enchanting that we decided on the spot to spend our remaining days right here. In fact, we didn't even leave the property during our stay, as we didn't want to miss a single minute in this paradise. Immersed in untouched nature, classy and greatly designed without being overdone, this is pure magic!

Wish I could give a 100 stars. The most stunning place you could ever imagine. You wake to birds singing in the canopy of the forest and howler monkeys talking to each other. We had a stunning partial view of the Pacific Ocean and the canopy below us. The hosts, Joe and Keith, are the kindest people anyone could meet. Joe’s breakfasts are delicious. Yummy!!! There is a beautiful salt water pool with stunning views to relax in. We saw a Toucan sitting in the tree by the pool. We were really sad to leave after 6 days. It was like being in a little slice of heaven. So relaxing!! We would definitely stay again.

Wow. Everything was just perfect. If we could give it 10 points, we would. It's not just the location and the view that make this stay so special, but above all the two hosts Joe and Keith. They are so attentive and pay attention to every little detail. At breakfast in the morning you feel like you're having breakfast with the family. You exchange ideas with other guests and the two of them had such valuable tips for us. On two days, they brought us super tasty smoothies and fresh banana bread as we were unable to take part in breakfast. They have even put together their own homepage with the menus of the surrounding restaurants and provided the cell phone numbers of the suppliers. There is so much more to the service. 🙂 The houses are big enough and the shower is really a dream because you have the feeling of showering in the jungle. You are only separated from nature by a fly screen. The view from the balconies is a dream. In the middle of the complex there is a pool area with an outdoor kitchen, which can be used by all guests. Various birds like to fly around here in the morning. It was definitely our best accommodation in Costa Rica. We hope to come back again sometime. Thank you! Melanie and Mirko

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Costa Rica and Nature's Edge was the second location we stayed in (for 4 nights) and to be honest we wish it was the only location we stayed. The property is spectacular, with amazing views, beautiful grounds, comfortable and cozy casitas which provide everything you can need or want. The meticulous attention to detail by the hosts Joe and Keith are everywhere from all of the communication/information given to us before our arrival, to the room and the pool area, as well as the help with recommendations of what to do and where to eat in the area, it was literally the most comfortable and peaceful place I have ever stayed. Going to sleep and waking up listening to the jungle was wonderful as was just hanging out by the pool and just looking out at the incredible views of the mountains. But in truth I believe what sets this place apart are the hosts, they love this place and it shows. They were so kind, accommodating and warm and we truly enjoyed spending time and talking with them (and their adorable, papaya loving dog Louie) every morning during the delicious breakfast they served. They have truly created such an inviting environment for their guests and we cannot wait to go back. This place is nothing short of spectacular!

Traumhafte Unterkunft mit tollen Gastgebern! 😀 - Wow. Everything was just perfect. If we could give it 12 points, we would. It's not just the location and the view that make this stay so special, but above all the two hosts Joe and Keith. They are so attentive and pay attention to every little detail. At breakfast in the morning you feel like you're having breakfast with the family. You exchange ideas with other guests and the two of them had such valuable tips for us. On two days, they brought us super tasty smoothies and fresh banana bread as we were unable to take part in breakfast. They have even put together their own homepage with the menus of the surrounding restaurants and provided the cell phone numbers of the suppliers. There is so much more to the service. 🙂 The houses are big enough and the shower is really a dream because you have the feeling of showering in the jungle. You are only separated from nature by a fly screen. The view from the balconies is a dream. In the middle of the complex there is a pool area with an outdoor kitchen, which can be used by all guests. Various birds like to fly around here in the morning. It was definitely our best accommodation in Costa Rica. We hope to come back again sometime. Thank you! 😞 - Nothing. 🙂

Oasis of tranquility 😀 - A fablous location ,great peace,and nature all round.You need a 4×4to access here ,but we'll worth the the effort.Keith and Joe are great hosts and really helpful and thoughtful, and Joe does a great breakfast. Ein Stück Paradies 😀 - Dies ist einer der schönsten Orte, an dem wir jemals waren. Die Casitas sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es wurde wirklich an jedes kleinste Detail gedacht. Alles von der Casita bis zur Poolarea und der top ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche ist super sauber und die Handtücher duften einfach unglaublich gut. Doch das Allerbeste: Die Aussicht!! Es ist einfach atemberaubend, die Fotos werden der Realität nicht im Entferntesten gerecht! Man schaut vom Bett (und von dem davorliegenden Balkon) aus in den Dschungel, kann Tukanen, Äffchen und Coatis beim snacken von den Bäumen zusehen und schläft abends bei Regenwaldgeräuschen ein. Es ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis und lässt einen demütig vor der Schönheit der Natur zurück. Nicht zu vergessen sind natürlich die Gastgeber Keith und Joe, die das Hotel mit Liebe und Hingabe betreiben. Schon vor Anreise bekommt man Tipps zu Aktivitäten und der Anreise über den sehr steilen Weg (nur mit 4x4 zu bewältigen). Sie sind jederzeit über whatsapp zu erreichen und die Organisation war insgesamt einfach überragend. Ebenso das Frühstück, was jeden Morgen von den Beiden frisch zubereitet wird. Egal ob Sie für 2 oder 14 Nächte anreisen, kommen Sie hierher!! Diesen Ort muss jeder einmal gesehen haben. 😞 - Den Weg, der den Berg hochführt, kann man einfach nicht schönreden: er ist sehr holprig, steil und einfach nervig. Nun denn, die Aussicht hat halt ihren Preis. Aber würde es uns jemals davon abhalten das Hotel zu empfehlen oder selbst dort wieder hinzufahren: hell no!

A piece of paradise This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. The casitas are tastefully decorated and every little detail has been thought of. Everything from the casita to the pool area and the well-equipped communal kitchen is super clean and the towels smell just unbelievably good. But the best thing of all: the view!! It is simply breathtaking, the photos don't do the reality justice in the slightest! You can look out into the jungle from the bed (and from the balcony in front of it), watch toucans, monkeys and quatis snacking from the trees and fall asleep in the evening to the sounds of the rainforest. It is a unique experience and leaves you humbled by the beauty of nature. Not to be forgotten, of course, are the hosts Keith and Joe, who run the hotel with love and dedication. Even before you arrive, you get tips on activities and the journey along the very steep path (can only be managed with a 4x4). They can be reached at any time via WhatsApp and the organization was simply outstanding overall. The same goes for breakfast, which is freshly prepared by the two of them every morning. Whether you are staying for 2 or 14 nights, come here!! This is a place everyone must see at least once.
