A true rainforest experience
A tranquil waterfall and jungle experience is a short distance down the mountain road from Nature’s Edge Boutique Hotel. A true rainforest experience awaits you at The Uvita Waterfall A short jungle trek will take you to a beautiful waterfall.
The Cascada Verde Waterfall in Uvita is only 2 kilometers from Nature’s Edge Boutique Hotel.
Along the jungle paths to the water fall, you may encounter monkeys, and toucans, along the way. It is not a big waterfall. As you hike toward the waterfall you will pass a few nice swimming holes. At the base of the waterfall you can enjoy a refreshing waterhole for swimming.
The walk down our mountain road to the waterfall is a 30-45 minute strenuous one. If you choose to drive down the mountain, park at the The Waterfall Restaurant (or just on the road past the restaurant). The entry fee is 2,000 colones.
A hike down the jungle trail/stairs, leads you to a few swimming holes, and then you trek across a small river bed, to your next stop, the waterfall.
Grab a bite to eat after your exploration of The Uvita Waterfall
